Artificial Intelligence has demonstrated exponential growth in popularity for several industries, staffing, and recruitment being one. For the HR technology ecosystem, recruitment through AI saves staffing agencies time and money and creates a standardized process when analyzing applicant pools and finding candidates.

Using AI for screening job candidates has raised concerns about potential discrimination. AI systems can be trained on historical data, which may reflect biases in the hiring process and perpetuate those biases. As a result, the U.S. government has warned against using AI in ways that could violate equal employment opportunities and even privacy laws.

While AI can be a valuable tool for screening job candidates, it should be used responsibly and with caution to avoid discrimination and ensure equal employment opportunities for all.
