Invoice Factoring In 3 Simple Steps

Invoice factoring also referred to as accounts receivable financing, is a cash-flow solution companies use to bridge the gap from the time they invoice their customers and the time their customers pay them. In many industries, it can take 30-90 days or more for customer payment. When you have operating costs, bills, payroll and more, you may not have time to wait on slow-paying customers. That is when invoice factoring can help.

One of the reasons Scale Funding is your top choice among other factoring companies in Irvine and California is that we get you funded in just three simple steps.

Irvine, California

Irvine, California is a city located in Orange County planned and developed by the Irvine Company in the 1960s. Incorporated in 1971, the 66-square-mile city now has over 250,000 residents. Irvine borders Tustin to the north, Lake Forest to the east, Costa Mesa to the west, Laguna Hills to the southeast, and Newport Beach to the southwest. Most of the city lies in a large, flat valley between San Joaquin Hills and Loma Ridge. However, the northern and southern areas of Irvine do include several canyons, plateaus, and hills. Irvine’s layout is divided into villages, which are separated by six-lane streets. Each village contains houses, religious institutions, commercial centers, and schools. There are two commercial districts: the Irvine Spectrum and the Irvine Business Complex.

In Irvine, as in much of Southern California, late spring and early summer are subject to the phenomenon known as “June Gloom,” with frequent overcast skies and occasional drizzle. Later in the summer and into fall, days are warm and dry for the most part. Mild winters with no frost are the norm; when the Santa Ana winds blow, even winter days can be hot and dry. Snow in Irvine is very rare, but it occasionally snows in the Santa Ana Mountains north of the city.

History

About 2,000 years ago, Irvine was inhabited by the Gabrieleno indigenous group. In 1769, a Spanish explorer named Gaspar de Portola came to the area and established missions, forts and cattle herds. The King of Spain made land available for missions and private use. In 1821, upon Mexico’s independence from Spain, the Mexican government took control of the land and began distributing it to Mexican citizens who applied for grants. Three of these grants made up the land that would become the Irvine Ranch. The eventual owner of the Irvine Ranch, James Irvine, left the property to his son, who integrated it into the Irvine Company and changed the ranch operations to olive and citrus crops as well as field crops.

When James Irvine, Jr. died in 1947, his son became president of the Irvine Company and opened small sections of the land to urban development. The University of California purchased 1,000 acres of land for a new university campus in 1959, and the state later purchased an additional 500 acres. Planners from the Irvine Company drew up plans for a city surrounding the new campus. The plan allowed for 50,000 people and included residential, recreational, and industrial areas. However, by 1999, the population had grown to 134,000, and today, this number has almost doubled.

Economy

There are more than 200,000 jobs in Irvine and over 26,000 businesses. The city strives to maintain a link with its business community, focusing on understanding the needs of its local businesses and making them and their employees aware of the services provided by Irvine itself. Irvine is the economic hub of Orange County and accounts for 49 of the top 100 publicly traded companies headquartered here. The city is ranked second in Orange County’s Business Council’s Workforce Housing Scorecard, which references the types of housing developed in the area. Irvine is also ranked among the cities in the US with the highest amount of parkland acreage per 1,000 residents by the Trust for Public Land.

Tourism contributes hugely to Irvine’s local economy as well. Traveler expenditures add hundreds of millions of dollars to Irvine’s economy annually from the hospitality, recreation, retail, and entertainment sectors. In addition, many corporations have their national or international headquarters in the city, particularly in the semiconductor and technology industries. Irvine’s top employers include the Irvine Company, the University of California, Verizon Wireless Corporate, Irvine Unified School District, St. John Knits, Broadcom, Allergan, Capital Group Companies and Edwards Lifesciences. There are also higher education institutions located in Irvine besides the University of California, including Irvine Valley College, Concordia University, California State University Fullerton, University of La Verne and Pepperdine University.

Art and Culture

Irvine is one of the most diverse cities in the region and offers a rich cultural experience including a wide range of museums, festivals, theaters, and more. The Irvine Global Village Festival celebrates cultural richness with live entertainment, arts and crafts, and authentic cuisine from carried places such as Russia, India, France, and Iran. More than 50 cultures are represented, and this reflects in the entertainment, which features everything from American Jazz to Persian folk music to Chinese dance. This festival takes place each October.

Other attractions include the Irvine Barclay Theater, a 760-seat venue offering a variety of international performing arts experiences, and the Irvine Museum, where guests can take in exhibits of California’s impressionist movement from the turn of the century. The Beall Center for Art & Technology features video and interactive displays in a high-tech multimedia art experience; this center is located at the University of California. Irvine residents and visitors can also access the Ayn Rand Institute, a nonprofit think tank promoting author Ayn Rand’s philosophical system of Objectivism. There are three public libraries in Irvine: University Park Library, Heritage Park Regional Library and Katie Wheeler Library. The Heritage Library serves as Central Orange County’s reference library with a strong art and business focus. Katie Wheeler was James Irvine’s granddaughter, and the library building is a replica of the house in which she grew up.

Also, numerous movies and other productions have been filmed in Irvine, including Iron Man, Ocean’s Eleven, Poltergeist, Miss Congeniality 2, and You, Me and Dupree.
