South Bend factoring company turns invoices into same-day cashSouth Bend Invoice Factoring Programs

Invoice factoring, also referred to as accounts receivable financing, is a quick way to obtain working capital. While many businesses look to a bank for a loan or line of credit, our South Bend invoice factoring programs are simple and straightforward.

We’ll get you approved for a custom program in as little as 15 minutes.  With a bank, the approval process can be lengthy.

Our qualification process is dependent more on your customers’ payment history and credit strength rather than yours. With a bank, it can be difficult to obtain working capital if you don’t have the credit desired or any financial history established.

Since invoice factoring is not a loan, there is no debt acquired from the financing. This makes it easy to obtain more working capital as it does not negatively impact your balance sheet.

And lastly, with invoice factoring, you’ll have consistent cash flow as Scale Funding offers same-day funding on your invoices. With a bank loan or line of credit, you’ll still be waiting weeks or even months for customer payment.

South Bend, Indiana

The city of South Bend is located in St. Joseph County, Indiana, on the St. Joseph River close to its southernmost bend. It is the county seat with a population of 101,168 residents. The city is ranked fourth in size in the state of Indiana.

South Bend is the hub of Northern Indiana with regard to culture and economy. The world-renowned University of Notre Dame is located here and is one of the main contributors to the economy of the area.

History

The first occupants of the area were native Americans. The Miami Tribe is one of the earliest groups on record to have occupied the region. The Potawatomi followed later making great use of the natural resources and food found along the river. The Potawatomi lived in the region until they were forced to leave in the 1840s.

In the 19th century, fur traders moved into the region and established posts for trade. Pierre Frieschutz Navarre moved into the area in 1820 as a representative of the American Fur Company which was owned by John Jacob Astor. He built his base in today’s’ downtown South Bend. A colleague of his known as Alexis Coquillard founded the Big St. Joseph Station trade post and in 1827. Lathrop Minor Taylor established one too on behalf of Hanna and Company.

The town was on an upward roll with Coquillard and Taylor recognized as leaders by the year 1829. The Southold post office was established, and Taylor was appointed as postmaster. The name changed from Southold to South Bend the following year.

After 1960, the population numbers in South Bend began to dwindle. The main reason for this was the mass migration to suburban areas, but there was also the collapse of Studebaker and other large industries. Currently, the main contributing industries to the economy  are:

  • Education
  • Small businesses
  • Health
  • Tourism

South Bend has enjoyed some favorable mention in the news thanks to its mayor, Pete Buttigieg. The mayor has been recognized for his economic development projects in the city as well as for being the youngest mayor to be elected in a city with a population of over 100,000 residents. He also penned down an essay in which he came out as ‘the first openly gay executive in the state of Indiana.’

The city celebrated its 150th birthday in 2015 with a yearlong festival which wound up with the ceremonial lighting up of the first River Lights along the St. Joseph River. Mayor Buttigieg was joined by the city’s previous executives to welcome the next 150 years.
